The concept of getting back to our roots has been a core element of diet and use of organic products trends over the past couple of years as we search for options to increase our lifespan and enhance our quality of life through elimination of processed fast foods and body care products.
The Paleo lifestyle has been at the forefront of this movement, inspiring the modern hunter-gatherer to return to the simplicity exemplified by the evolution of Paleolithic man – starting 2.5 million years ago – whose every day habits included wild meat, fish, insects, eggs, fruit, berries, vegetables, nuts and natural body care products. The Paleo movement has been gaining momentum, thanks in part to the Crossfit revolution that helped popularize it, and has become a viable lifestyle choice for a growing portion of the population. With new Paleo positioned products being introduced to the market and experiencing outstanding growth, expect this to be an exploding trend for the next years, with vast potential for product innovation!
With all the natural benefits of organic skincare products, you would wonder why to slather artificial ingredients on your skin in the first place.

Palm oil is an edible vegetable oil derived from the mesocarp (reddish pulp) of the fruit of the oil palms, primarily the African oil palm. It is naturally reddish because of a high beta-carotene (Vitamin A) content. Palm oil is actually 15 times richer in Vitamin A than a carrot!
Why Vitamin A is important?
Beta-Carotene (or Vitamin A) is a carotenoid, which is found in foods like carrots, tomatoes, and pumpkins. Carotenoids are well known for fighting the damage done to your skin due to UV ray exposure. This makes palm oil a wonderful ingredient that helps not only to prevent damage from sunburn, but to stop premature aging as well.
Palm oil contains a high concentration of Vitamin E. This particular vitamin is very special because it contains tocotrienols. Tocotrienols are antioxidants within the Vitamin E family and are much rarer and much stronger than the common form of Vitamin E known as tocopherols. Tocotrienols are more effective in protecting the skin, for they are able to penetrate much deeper into the bottom most layers of your skin.
